This catfish special was outstanding, the kind of plate that reminds you why simple, well-done food always wins. The catfish itself is the star — thick, meaty fillets, perfectly breaded with a cornmeal coating that's crisp without being heavy. The crust has just enough seasoning to bring flavor without overpowering the fish, and inside it's flaky, moist, and clean-tasting, not greasy at all. You can tell it was fried at the right temperature — golden, not dark, and still light to eat. The sides pull their weight too. The fried potato chips are hot, crunchy, and fresh, not soggy or over-salted. The hushpuppies are dense and flavorful with a slightly sweet corn note, and the cornbread is moist with that comforting, old-school texture that pairs perfectly with fried fish. The coleslaw is cool and creamy, adding a nice contrast and cutting through the richness just enough. The sauces seal the deal — classic tartar, ketchup, and cocktail sauce, all there so you can mix and match bites without getting bored. Every component feels intentional, not like filler. Wash it down with an ice-cold beer and it's about as close to a perfect catfish plate as you'll get. Comfort food done right, generous portions, and absolutely worth ordering again every single Thursday. Service here, as always is phenomenal. You always feel well taken care of and never wait for anything. 10/10
